According to recent survey of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, parents of the young people in Southeastern Europe affecting more than 50 percent of their life decisions.
The same survey says that young adults in Western Europe are much more independent from their parents, so they make life decisions on their own.
When it comes to Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia, Radio Free Europe conducted the poll and asked young people in these countries how much their parents affecting of their life decisions. Young adults in Serbia make decisions consulting their parents especially when it comes to education.
Second most important are the decisions about relationships and emotional status – a topic they talk about with their parents.
