Youth Guarantee in Macedonia

The Ministry for Labor and Social Policy, together with the National Employment Agency and more than 20 youth organizations in August officially started the realization of the project Youth Guarantee.

The youth guarantee is an active employment measure for young people implemented in the EU countries since 2012 and applies to young unemployed people up to 29 years and already finished their high school or university education. Macedonia is the first non-EU country from the South East Europe region to implement this measure and in its first pilot phase the Guarantee includes the municipalities of Skopje, Strumica and Gostivar.

The Youth Guarantee ensures that in the period of four months after the registration through the National Employment Agency interested young people will have the opportunities to take one of the active measures offered by the guarantee such as employment, internship, vocational training, career advice, qualification etc.
