Youth Movement – A new page for local communities in Albania

Partners Albania is implementing “Youth Movement – A new page for local communities” project, which aims to create a movement of youth across Albania through educating youngsters with the sense of voluntarism, activism, and responsibility, as well as strengthen the relationship between youth and local communities for a stronger democracy.

Through this action, four projects designed by groups of youngsters of four different high schools in Shkodra and Vlora are being implemented. More specifically:

Information and entertainment only “One Radio” away from us – the winning project in Shkodra – developed by youngsters of “Oso Kuka” high school.

This initiative aims to increase activations among young people, through the installation of the school radio, which will contribute to inform, educate, and promote new talents within the school and their involvement in community initiatives.

“Let’s clean the Soda Forest!”– the winning project in Vlora – developed by youngsters of “Jani Minga” high school, which aims to reduce Soda forest waste by mobilizing volunteers from the school and the surrounding community for the implementation of the four cleaning actions.

All together for the improvement of the teaching conditions and the school premises “Ibrahim Kushta” – the winning project in Vlora developed by the students of the “Ali Demi” high school, aims to increase activism of young people and the wider community to contribute to the improvement of the teaching conditions in a rural school in Vlora.

“Book Map” – the winning project in Shkodra – developed by students of  “28 Nëntori” high school, the initiative aims to create a website for book mapping in the public and private libraries of Shkodra, to facilitate access for young people, especially those in rural and urban areas. Also part of this website will be the section “Audiobooks”, with books registered by the students themselves, to bring the book closer to people with sight impairment.
